Challenge
Not all of MSBC’s automation clients require a done-for-you service. Many larger companies prefer to manage their own automation and require specialist skills to assist in the process. MSBC sources and manages these skilled engineers working within the client environment.
As part of the selection process, MSBC must present clients with a short-list of screened candidates. These must be delivered in a consistent format to speed up the review process and ensure the best results.
Transforming resumes into specific client formats is extremely time-consuming. For example, formatting a large number of resumes can take days, which frustrates clients looking to hire significant numbers against tight deadlines.
The team ran resumes through ChatGPT but found the results to be inconsistent. Details were omitted and formatting poor. Bold, italics, bullet points and branding were still taking significant time.
At scale, this leads to major inefficiencies and lost productivity.
Solution
MSBC’s AI team developed a tool called ReadyResume. This enables:

ReadyResume was developed using an AI software development platform that MSBC is trialling. This understands the context of the project, retains knowledge within the firm and removes technical debt by not creating it in the first place.
Benefits
MSBC’s Talent Acquisition team may upload up to 100 resumes at a time. The client-ready results are delivered in under two minutes. While manual screening remains an important part of the selection process, the time to deliver a short-list of candidates has been cut in half.
ReadyResume allows MSBC to scale its business using standard operating procedures across all of its brands. Automation allows the business to manage peaks and troughs in demand. In the past these would have required temporary hiring and training of personnel, or resulted in delays and frustration for clients.
